1. Patch Testing for Contact Dermatitis

Occupational dermatitis is a significant risk for workers in industries such as healthcare, hairdressing, and manufacturing. Our Patch Testing identifies triggers for Allergic Contact Dermatitis, which often appears as a red, itchy rash at the site of contact.

What can be tested for:

General patch testing includes over 36 fragrances, cosmetics, rubbers, dyes, metals, lanolin and adhesives.
Specific series are carried out where particular types of chemicals are suspected such as
- hairdressing series
- nail series
- cosmetic series
- orthopaedic / dental metal series.
Specific industrial chemicals can usually be tested for through a patch assay if the chemical can be provided.

The Process:

Application (Day 1): Small, safe amounts of potential allergens are applied to the back using specialised hypoallergenic chambers.
First Reading (Day 3): The patches are removed by one of our doctors to check for early localised skin reactions.
Final Reading (Day 5): Our doctors review the test area again to check for delayed reactions.

2. Skin Prick Testing for Inhalant Allergy

Respiratory allergies can significantly impact employee productivity and well-being. Our Skin Prick Testing is a fast, safe, and virtually painless method to identify immediate sensitisations.

Common Triggers: We test for common workplace and environmental inhalants, including dust mites, animal dander, and various pollens.

Immediate Results: Positive reactions typically appear within 20 minutes, allowing for simultaneous consultation with our allergy doctors and the development of a management plan.

3. Spirometry Services

Healthy lung function is critical in many professional roles. We provide Spirometry Testing to monitor respiratory health and screen for conditions such as asthma or occupational lung disease.

Our Approach: Using advanced equipment, we measure the volume and speed of air an employee can inhale and exhale.
